Scenario 1. This imagines a world where a lack of trust, particularly over Coronavirus, has caused people to avoid public transport and rely on the private car as the main means of transport. Public transport is under funded and roads are congested.
Scenario 2. These illustrations show a world where the private car is a thing of the past, people travel on public transport, work from home, where shopping is done online and delivered directly to homes, and where city centres have been redeveloped as residential districts.
The third scenario develops this further, with buses that are accessed via apps and transport is clean and ecological, where there are travel hubs with different, interconnected modes of travel and where many destinations are within walking distance.
